ANOINTING OF THE SICK If you are going to be hospitalized, preparing for surgery or, ill at home and would like to celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, please call the Parish Office at 513-561-9431 x116. The Sacrament is celebrated at the beginning of an illness; please do not wait until death is imminent. We celebrate the sacrament after each Mass when there is a fifth Sunday of the month. The Sacrament may be repeated if necessary, but its effects do not "wear off." The Sacrament of Anointing the Sick can be celebrated in your home or at the parish.
COMMUNION TO THE HOMEBOUND Please call the parish office at 513-561-9431 x116 to make arrangements for Communion to homebound parishioners.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Offered on Wednesdays from 7-8 pm at the Church, or by appointment.
OCIA The Order of Christian Initiation is a process offered for non-Catholics who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or are considering joining our church. This process includes reflection on your journey of faith and sessions on the teachings of our Church. Team members from our parish support those who are "inquiring" about the Catholic faith. If you are interested in becoming Catholic, would like to sponsor someone, or would like to become part of the OCIA Team, please contact Jay Mather, Director of Evangelization for the St. Gregory the Great Family of Parishes, at 513-388-4188 or [email protected].
BAPTISM St. John Fisher will help prepare parents for the baptism of their child. Baptismal preparation sessions include the Church's teaching about baptism, an explanation of the symbols of the sacrament, and some practical information for the day of baptism.
The baptismal preparation instruction is required for active, registered parents who are having their first child baptized. For more information or to schedule a session, please contact Connie Wehmeyer, Pastoral Associate, at 513-561-9431 x113 or [email protected].
MARRIAGE A number of our parishioners have been trained to help prepare couples for the sacrament of marriage. If you would like to be married or to join the marriage preparation team, please contact Fr. Aaron Hess at 513-561-9431 x114. Please make arrangements with the parish at least six months in advance of your planned wedding date.
HOLY ORDERS and RELIGIOUS LIFE Our diocesan seminary, Mt. St. Mary's Seminary, periodically offers "Come and See" weekends for men considering priesthood. Likewise, local religious orders provide opportunities for men and women who want to explore their call to religious life. People who are considering becoming a sister, brother, deacon, or priest (either Diocesan or Religious Order) are encouraged to talk with Fr. Steve Angi or Fr. Aaron Hess.
